My name is Fabio Salsi and I am a native Italian translator specializing in localization. I translate from English, French and Spanish into my mother tongue, Italian.
Since 2003 I work full-time as a freelance translator on a wide range of projects involving consumer and SEM applications for a major search engine. I am also reponsible for the linguistic coordination of a group of freelancers working remotely. Before that I worked in-house at Lionbridge as linguistic coordinator and at Alpha CRC as a translator. I also carried outr several short-term on-site localization contracts in France, Germany and the UK.
In 2010 I started to collaborate with Proz.com as a trainer. I am an Associate Member of the American Translators Association.
I translate only into my native language.
I translate only texts pertaining to a limited number of domains so I know what I am translating.
Four-year university degree in translation; English and French, Advanced School of Modern Languages for Interpreters and Translators at the University of Bologna, Italy.
